The Biasi group of companies is a family owned Italian organisation focused on producing steam and heat generated products. Biasi UK was created in 1990 as a way to distribute and promote the company’s products throughout the United Kingdom.
Biasi’s boilers are all of the gas-fired combination boilers and come under two names, Riva and Garda. There are six different Riva models with each boiler having its own different advantages. The Riva Compact is one of the simpler models; its small design and simple controls make it an uncomplicated wall-mounted boiler. There is also a 32kW version of the Compact available for larger homes that require more hot water and heating.
The Compact HE is a higher efficiency boiler with a SEDBUK rating of ‘B’ and a seasonal efficiency of just under 90%. However, the Riva OV offers the best efficiency of Biasi’s Riva range and it also carries a SEDBUK rating of ‘A’.
The Biasi boilers in the Garda range have electronic ignition without a pilot flame which leads to a saving on gas bills. They also have a 24-hour electronic programmer so controlling the heating and hot water in the home is possible in advance.
There are three different Garda models. The standard Garda boiler has an ultra-compact design and is wall mounted, saving lots of space. The Garda HE is a more efficient WRAS approved boiler with a SEDBUK ‘B’ rating and an energy efficiency rating of ‘B’ (www.boilers.org.uk). The HE plus offers maximum efficiency in the Garda range with a SEDBUK rating of ‘A’ and seasonal efficiency of 90% plus.
